Raffles College Of Design and Commerce (RCDC) is seeking a suitable candidate to join us in May 2009 to teach and develop our Diploma in Design (Level 7). The successful candidate will be required to hold a Masters Degree in any design discipline, 5 – 10 years of industry experience in the design profession and with an understanding of current sustainable technologies, materials, design innovation, typography and Art and Design history.

Experience in curriculum development, assessment writing and tertiary teaching is highly desirable. This position will be offered to the right candidate initially as a contract position to develop lesson plans and designing assessments, possibility converting to a full time position when the intake commences in July 2009.

Contract Early Childhood Lecturers

We are seeking for Contract Early Childhood Lecturers (evenings) to teach our Certificate in Early Childhood and Care (Level 5) programme.

Applicants are required to participate actively, collaboratively and reciprocally with other team members in the running of the National Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care Programme.

The role of this position will include teaching a range of disciplines; assessment; conducting assessments and moderation; student academic and pastoral care support. Suitable tertiary qualifications in education (preferably in Early Childhood Education), adult teaching qualification or prior teaching experience with adults is preferable. Experience teaching an early childhood course at certificate, diploma or degree level, would be an advantage to the candidate.

Web Design Lecturer

We are seeking talented and hard working contract Web Design Lecturer to teach our National Diploma in Graphic Design (Level 5) and our Web Design Short Course.
Applicants are required to participate actively, collaboratively and reciprocally with other team members in the running of these programs.

For this position we are looking for an industry professional who is up to date with the current trends of web design and has a knowledge of good web design techniques and principles of web design.

Applicant must have a good understanding of how to operate Adobe Dreamweaver & Flash. And have a good knowledge of html and Flash actionscript (2.0).

The role of this position will include teaching a range of disciplines; assessment; conducting assessments and moderation; student academic and pastoral care support.

Suitable tertiary qualifications in Web Design, adult teaching qualification or prior teaching experience with adults is preferable but not necessary. Good communication skills, would be an advantage to the candidate.

A minimum of 2 years industry experience is required.

Digital Animation Contract Lecturers

Are you a 3D Animator looking to fill that gap between job contracts? If so have you considered teaching?

At Raffles College Of Design and Commerce (RCDC) we are seeking talented and hard working contract 3D Animation Lecturers to teach our Diploma in Digital Animation (Level 6). Applicants are required to participate actively, collaboratively and reciprocally with other team members in the running of the Diploma in Digital Animation Programme.

Applicants must have a general knowledge of Autodesk Maya 2010 and specialize in one of the following fields of expertise:

3D Modelling
Texturing
Rigging
Animation
Lighting
Rendering
Dynamics
M.E.L scripting

The role of this position will include teaching a range of disciplines; assessment; conducting assessments and moderation; student academic and pastoral care support.

Suitable tertiary qualifications in Animation (preferably in 3D Animation), adult teaching qualification or prior teaching experience with adults is preferable but not necessary. Good communication skills, would be an advantage to the candidate.

A minimum of 18 months industry experience is required. This position is available immediately.
