GD060 Graphic Design and Communication Studio

This subject introduces students to the fundamental principles of graphic design – colour, line, composition, typography and illustration. Through a series of studio based assessment tasks and in-class studies, students will learn critical and conceptual problem solving techniques in addition to ‘traditional’, non-digital, technical graphic design skills. Within this subject students will also begin to develop their own visual language and style, resolve key issues of visual representation and gain foundational knowledge in graphics media.
