On successful completion of this subject, learners will be able to:

  • Understand the basic principles of the related areas of design marketing and public relations and how these impact on organizational decision-making;
  • Analyse the marketing environment for particular design products and services and demonstrate how these analyses impact marketing decisions;
  • Research and obtain information about current marketing trends and organizations;
  • Apply marketing techniques and theories to develop creative design solutions to marketing problems; and
  • Communicate effectively to selected audiences through appropriate marketing and/or public relations exercises using written, oral and visual presentations.
